North Carolina governor tests positive for covid

On the 20th local time, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper tested positive for the covid virus. Cooper is currently suffering from mild symptoms and is taking antiviral medication, the governor’s office said.

It is understood that Cooper has been vaccinated against the covid vaccine and booster.
