Description

MyHep LVIR is a prescription medication used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults. It contains a combination of two antiviral drugs, ledipasvir and sofosbuvir. Ledipasvir works by inhibiting a protein that is essential for the HCV virus to replicate, while Sofosbuvir works by stopping the virus from multiplying and spreading to other cells in the body.

Uses:
MyHep LVIR is used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults with genotypes 1, 4, 5, or 6 who have no liver disease or who have compensated liver disease. It is also used to treat HCV infection in adults with decompensated liver disease who are also receiving ribavirin.

HOW TO USE:
MyHep LVIR tablets should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. The usual dose is one tablet (ledipasvir 90mg/sofosbuvir 400mg) taken orally once a day with or without food. Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet. Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.

Storage Conditions:
MyHep LVIR tablets should be stored at room temperature (20-25°C) away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Mechanism of action:
MyHep LVIR contains two active ingredients Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir. Ledipasvir is a direct-acting antiviral (DAA) medication that works by inhibiting the HCV NS5A protein, which is required for the virus to replicate. Sofosbuvir is an antiviral medication that works by inhibiting the HCV NS5B polymerase, which is required for the virus to reproduce.

Precautions:
– Do not take MyHep LVIR if you are allergic to Ledipasvir & Sofosbuvir or any other ingredients in the medication.
– Inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems before taking MyHep LVIR.
– Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is not known if it will harm your unborn baby.

Contraindications:
– Do not take MyHep LVIR if you have certain types of hepatitis, such as hepatitis B.
– Do not take MyHep LVIR with certain medications, such as rifampin or St. John’s Wort.

Drug Interactions:
MyHep LVIR may interact with certain medications, so tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medications, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

Overdose:
In case of an overdose, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain.

Side effects:
The most common side effects of MyHep LVIR include headache, tiredness, diarrhea, nausea, and trouble sleeping. These side effects usually go away on their own. However, contact your doctor if these side effects persist or become severe. In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or allergic reactions. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
